OSPF and VRF-Lite

  • because of the DN-bit when configuring VRF-Lite the interface needs to be in area 0 either directly or via a Virtual Link
  • To bypass this we can use the router config command capability vrf-lite but be careful as the default behavior is a loop prevention mechanism
